Carbon Neutrality
Through this service we support organizations on the path to carbon neutrality by combining strategies, options, and measures to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) sources and emissions and/ or increase GHG sinks. This includes:
- Defining the scope, in terms of organizational and operational boundaries, for accounting GHG emissions associated with the organization’s activities, aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives and reporting goals;
- Accounting the GHG emissions according to the most rigorous international standards, including the methodology established by The Greenhouse Gas Protocol. This involves using emission factors defined by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, adjusted to the Portuguese context based on data published by national official entities.
- Developing strategies and roadmaps for GHG emissions mitigation, proposing measures to reduce GHG emissions and identifying emission reduction scenarios based on the adoption of these measures.
- Providing guidance in implementing procedural, technological, and behavioral solutions with an impact on reducing GHG emissions.
